Bachelor in Paradise Stars Kirk DeWindt and Carly Waddell Split
Paradise lost. “I feel like I came in here knowing that I wanted to find my husband, and I can’t believe I found him day one,” Carly Waddell said of coupling up with Kirk DeWindt in the first episode of ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise Season 2. “I just consider myself the luckiest freaking person on this planet.”
But her luck runs out on the reality series’ two-part finale (airing Sept. 6 and 7 at 8 p.m. ET), an insider reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. “Carly said she thought she’d found her soul mate and was talking about having babies with him,” a show source says of the pair, who had the season’s first fantasy suite date in week three. “But Kirk totally blindsided her and said he was far from being on the same page.”
A stunned Waddell, 29, who was Bachelor Chris Soules’ fourth runner-up in Season 19, “ran away mid-conversation in tears,” adds the insider. “She said she just wanted to go home.”

Pals were also shocked by the sudden split. “It was so dramatic and real,” adds a source close to the couple, who had dated for five weeks. “Carly was totally shocked when Kirk broke up with her. She’s still very upset.”
Bachelor in Paradise airs Sundays and Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
