Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Selling New Orleans Mansion for $6.5 Million

Publish date: 2024-05-10

Movin' on out! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are selling their New Orleans mansion — which they bought for $3.5 million in 2006 — for a cool $6.5 million, according to a new report from TMZ.

The jet-setting A-listers have been active in the community ever since Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, but are looking for something "off the beaten path down the road," Pitt's rep told the site.

"They remain committed to, and infatuated as ever with the city of New Orleans," the rep said, "and will continue to focus on growth in the lower 9th through the Make It Right Foundation."

The Fury actor, 51, founded Make It Right in 2007, to create new homes and neighborhoods for people in need. His own home, which he and Jolie, 39, share with their six kids, sits in the historic French Quarter and dates back to the 1830s, according to Variety.

Interior photos of the mansion are not available, but Variety describes the 7,645-square-foot property as "finely finished with Venetian plaster walls [and] custom-designed marble mantels and fireplaces." There's also a small pool in a private courtyard.

Back in May 2014, the house was the site of one of the most memorable moments (off the field, at least) of Super Bowl XLVIII, when Pitt and fellow Hollywood hunk Matthew McConaughey realized they were neighbors and tossed each other beers from their balconies.

Pitt and Jolie own several properties throughout the world, including a massive estate in L.A.'s Los Feliz neighborhood, an apartment in New York City, and Chateau Miraval in France, where they married last August.
