Kelli Giddish Gives Birth to First Child

There’s a new member of the SVU squad! Kelli Giddish and her husband, Lawrence Faulborn, welcomed their first child on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Her famous costar Ice T was among the first to break the news.

“At the hospital with the newest SVU member Ludo,” the rapper-turned-actor tweeted. In the photo, Ice’s wife Coco Austin, who is also pregnant, holds Giddish’s baby in a blue and white striped blanket, while the new mom looks happy and smiles.

Giddish told Us Weekly last month during an SVU press event that she and the rapper’s wife had bonded over their pregnancies. “We’ve spent some time together,” the actress said. “We all hung out over Labor Day.”

Faulborn shared two photos on Instagram of the baby.

Giddish and Faulborn announced the pregnancy back in July. The two were married earlier this summer on June 20, in an intimate ceremony in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.

The SVU actress plays Det. Amanda Rollins, the partner of Ice’s character, Fin Tutuola, on the show.

NBC’s long-running crime drama kicked off its 17th season on Sept. 23. Giddish’s pregnancy was written into the season.
