Roseanne Barr Reunites With TV Kids, Goes Blonde and Looks Slim
The Conner family is back at it! A newly blonde Roseanne Barr received the best 62nd birthday gift of all when she was reunited with her TV kids during The Talk on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Co-host Sara Gilbert, who played Barr’s daughter Darlene on the sitcom Roseanne from 1988 to 1997, introduced her TV siblings Michael Fishman (D.J. Conner) and Alicia Goranson (Becky Conner) to the stage. Barr — looking slimmer than ever — was completely shocked by the surprise as she tearfully embraced her former costars.
Both Goranson and Fishman shared fond memories of good times they’ve had with the comedian over the years. Goranson, in particular, had the audience laughing when she recalled the time Roseanne producers wouldn’t let her cut her hair. Barr’s response? “She grabbed the scissors and grabs my hair and chops it,” the actress explained. “Roseanne goes, ‘There, now you have to get it cut.'”

Barr also received a red velvet cake from The Talk ladies, and mentioned that her TV husband, John Goodman (Dan Conner), called her earlier that day to wish her a happy birthday. Laurie Metcalf (Jackie Harris) couldn’t stop by the daytime talk show, but did send her well-wishes in a sweet video message.
“Hey Roseanne, happy birthday! I love you,” Harris said. “I miss you and if you feel like it — you may have plans — give me a call after The Talk and I’ll swing by the lot and pick you up and take you out to lunch.”
