Sarah Michelle Gellar Perfectly Raps in New Princess Rap Battle

Publish date: 2024-05-15

No fairy tale here! Sarah Michelle Gellar proved she’s got some mad rap skills as a sassy Cinderella in Whitney Avalon’s latest Princess Rap Battle. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star faces off against Avalon, who plays Belle, and it’s pretty amazing.

“Another princess in my shadow come to covet my crown. You clowns wanna throw down with the best in a gown?” a blue gown and tiara-clad Gellar dishes out. “I’m the legendary story of rags to riches. Rhyme sharper than a needle and I’m giving out stitches. Like a wilting rose you can’t step to my flows. These girls are trip pin’— did they cut off their toes? I deserve all the praise for the foot-fetish craze.”Sarah Michelle Gellar & Whitney Avalon

She continues to throw down with lyrics like: “Let’s look at your mentality — Freud loves your abnormality. The Stockholm Syndrome Story: Beauty and the Bestiality. Of course you’re bitter, I’m the number one star. Pumpkin carriage, perfect marriage, no one cares who you are.”

Belle, er, Avalon, brilliantly stands her ground, though. “What’s my name? Belle. What’s it mean? Beauty,” she snaps back. “I’m the perfect combination of brains and booty. While I’m gaining knowledge you’re losing your pumps…your tale as old as time sets us back 50 years. Do your chores, clean the floors, till a man just appears?”

The episode is the latest in Avalon’s hilarious YouTube series, which started with Snow White throwing down with Frozen’s Elsa this past September. “There will definitely be some people’s favorite [princesses], there will definitely be some from other canons and other movies and characters that people won’t necessarily be expecting,” Avalon explained to MTV when the series first kicked off. “I’m very fortunate because I’m making them, so I get dibs on my favorite characters. I don’t want to give it away, but I will say there are some magical women that I’ve admired since childhood that I’m excited to play coming up.”

“We can bring anybody to rap against anybody as long as they’re a strong character,” Steve Gossett, who co-produces the series, added. “So whereas you might not actually be royalty at the North Pole, we know who runs s–t up there.”
