Shia LaBeouf Slams "Kim Kardashian's Sister" for Preaching to Him

Publish date: 2024-05-17

In April's GQ, Shia LaBeouf lashes out at the hoopla made over his widely-publicized 2008 car crash.

Initially, it was reported that the actor, 23, was drunk during the accident that left him with a severely injured left hand.

He says he was appalled at everyone who weighed in — including Khloe Kardashian, who served 173 minutes in jail for a 2007 DUI charge. (In the end, LaBeouf was never formally charged with any crime, as the crash wasn't his fault; the other driver ran a red light).

"I'd be watching the news, and they'd play my car crash, and every once in a while Kim Kardashian's sister would jump on TV and preach to me from the red carpet about how to live my f****** life," LaBeouf tells GQ.

"And I'm so upset, man. I'm so angry," he goes on. "Because this accident was not caused by me. I got hit. I had a green. This f***** ran a red light. And he flipped my truck, and he shoveled it on my hand. And my fingers are in the street… they're off, they're under the truck door, man. This is fake, dude," he says, lifting his newly reconstructed hand.

LaBeouf's mood lightened when the topic turned to his British girlfriend (and Wall Street 2 costar) Carey Mulligan.

"She’s an unbelievably thought-provoking actress, the most talented actress I’ve ever met in my life, by leaps and bounds," he says. "Neither one of us are fame whores. It works out. It's not like we're the premiere couple; we're not the red-carpet king and queen."
