Not much of a matchmaker, Brit? Taylor Lautner revealed in a new interview that Britney Spears once made a failed attempt to set him up with her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears.
Chatting with Billboard on Saturday, September 24, at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Lautner, 24, and his Scream Queens costar John Stamos opened up about the pop princess, 34, nudging the Twilight hunk to date her little sib.
“Britney tried to fix Taylor up with her sister one time,” Stamos — who introduced the superstar’s nearly 30-minute set with Lautner at the concert event — said.
“A few years ago,” the Abduction actor confirmed, without divulging any more detail about his potential romance with the Zoey 101 alum, 25. “A long time ago.”
“I don’t think they went out,” the Fuller House star, 53, added, to which Lautner admitted, “We did not go out.”
Though he once had high-profile romances with ex-girlfriends such as Taylor Swift, actress Marie Avgeropoulos and Lily Collins, the former child star is currently enjoying the single life.
During a 2010 interview with Oprah Winfrey — at the height of his teen-heartthrob days — Lautner described his ideal woman: “Loyalty, honesty [are important qualities]. What’s really important to me is somebody who can totally let loose and pretty much be themselves and have fun.”
Whether Jamie Lynn fit that bill, the “Sleepover” songstress — who welcomed daughter Maddie, 8, at age 16 with ex Casey Aldridge — has since found her happily ever after with someone else. On March 14, 2014, she tied the knot with Louisiana native Jamie Watson, who she has affectionately called “a normal guy.”

“We have the same values, and it doesn’t matter if he won the lottery tomorrow,” she told Cosmopolitan in June of their relationship. “It’s about your values in life. It’s not about what someone does or who they are, it’s about what you value in life. And I love that he’ll keep me in check to make sure my values always stay the way they should.”
