U.S. Women's Soccer Star Megan Rapinoe Engaged to Girlfriend

Goal! U.S. Women’s soccer pro Megan Rapinoe is engaged to her longtime girlfriend, Sera Cahoone. The athlete and World Cup champion, 30, shared the happy news on Instagram on Friday, Aug. 7.

“This little lady is getting married,” Rapinoe captioned a scenic photo of herself showing off her ring while locked in embrace with Cahoone, a singer. 

Her now-fiancee also shared the same photo, captioning her post: “This little lady is getting married too!”

Their engagement comes on Cahoone’s birthday. The songstress shared a gorgeous photo of two wine glasses over gorgeous blue waters, while Rapinoe gave her a shout-out. “Happy birthday to the most beautiful woman I have ever met. I love you @seracahoone,” she captioned an Instagram photo of her partner with a sweet heart emoji. 

Their engagement is just the latest milestone for Rapinoe to celebrate. On July 5, the women’s team crushed Japan with a score of 5 to 2 in Vancouver, Canada, marking the nation’s third Women’s World Cup title.
